Terms of Service

These terms govern use of Karya by a company (the "customer") and the people it provisions logins for — employees, managers and HR-Admins. By signing in, you agree to them.

1. The service

Karya is workforce software covering employee records, attendance, leave, payroll and related modules, licensed to a company on a per-employee, per-month basis as described in its plan. Only the modules enabled for a company's plan are available to it.

2. Accounts and access

A company's HR-Admin provisions logins for its own employees and is responsible for who is granted access and at what level (employee, manager, or HR-Admin). Each login is for one individual and should not be shared. The company is responsible for promptly removing access for employees who leave.

3. Data ownership

The company owns the data it enters — employee records, attendance, payroll and documents. We process it only to operate the service on the company's behalf (see our Privacy Policy) and the company may export its data at any time. On account closure, data is handled per our retention practices.

4. Acceptable use

The service may not be used to store data you don't have the right to hold, to attempt to access another company's data, to interfere with the platform's operation, or for any unlawful purpose. Statutory and payroll calculations are provided as a convenience; the company remains responsible for the accuracy of the data it enters and for its own compliance obligations.

5. Availability and support

We aim for high availability but the service is provided on an "as available" basis without guarantee of uninterrupted access. Support is provided per the company's plan.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties beyond those stated here, and liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid for the service in the preceding twelve months. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

7. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be communicated to company HR-Admins. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
