Set a salary structure once, fill loss-of-pay from attendance, and review any additional earnings before the payroll run. Karya calculates the payslip from the reviewed structure and inputs; automatic overtime rate calculation is planned.
Statutory calculations, editable per company
Karya supports configurable payroll components, including PF, ESI and Professional Tax settings for India. A company can record tax deductions, but automated TDS and US federal/state tax determination are not a verified tax engine. Reviewed standard domestic PF/ECR preparation includes dated September transition inputs; unsupported schemes remain outside its scope. Filing and challans require your payroll team or adviser; automated statutory filing is on the roadmap.
Payslips people can actually read
Each run produces an employee payslip view with earnings and deductions laid out plainly, which can be printed or saved as PDF. Employees see their own payslips in self-service; HR can review the stored periods; explicitly rerunning a period updates its generated payslips.

Frequently asked questions
Does Karya calculate PF, ESI, PT and TDS?
Karya has configurable PF, ESI and Professional Tax components. TDS can be entered as a reviewed payroll deduction; automated tax determination and filing remain on the roadmap. Reviewed standard domestic PF/ECR working files, including dated September transition inputs, are now built; EPFO submission and acceptance remain external.
Can payroll run automatically from attendance?
HR can fill loss-of-pay from attendance, review the inputs and then run payroll. It is a reviewed workflow; automatic scheduling and overtime rate calculation are not implemented.
Does Karya support US payroll?
Karya supports country-configured payroll structures and manually reviewed earnings and deductions. Automated US federal and state tax determination and filing are not yet verified capabilities.
